Preparing for a particle count? Here is a guide to the list of materials and steps needed before the specialists arrive.

Remember that all equipment must be designated for cleanrooms or theatres and must be approved substances.

1. Water – Use warm water as this improves cleaning efficacy
2. Bucket – Remember it is very important that this is sterilised and is made from stainless steel or non-porous material. Use the double bucket clean system (10-15 litres) to maximise efficiency.
3. Mop – Watch out for those mops that shed. We recommend a mop with a stainless steel or reinforced plastic handle that is sterilised. Should you need to wipe down surfaces use a chamois as this will not stead.
